England's arrangements for their Test arrangement against Bangladesh were disturbed Friday when the primary day's play of a two-day warm-up apparatus against a Bangladesh XI was scratched off because of an unplayable pitch.
"Umpires regarded the ground condition was not reasonable to begin the match after overnight rain," a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) representative said, alluding to the ground in Chittagong.
"The two groups will now play a 45-over match tomorrow," he included.
England are planned to play an additional two-day warm-up match against a BCB XI on October 16-17 as a major aspect of their arrangements for the two-Test arrangement against Bangladesh.
The opening Test starts in Chittagong on October 20. The second Test will be played in Mirpur, beginning October 28.
